Abstract:

"In this article Yves Alix describes laws and regulations that allow protection to the authors' rights, the digital revolution and its consequences, the challenge deriving from the European directive on copyright. Then the author outlines the characteristics of the music works. The variety of authors, the variety of utilizations and the technical evolution make the context very complex. A brief description of the moral-economical rights of the authors and their exceptions are traced. Focus is on the complexity of the contractual chain. After the examination of the copy and the loan, actions that should be done in future to serve uses are described."
